Well I realize almost technically only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades but, give me a little slack, everyone knows I am a blabber mouth so a total wordless Wednesday (as in no words at all) is pretty much impossible for me... However something happened to me tonight (yes it is still technically Tuesday) that made my drab and funk filled day a bit more humorous, and of course I thought "gee that would make a great blog" However, I must warn you that if you are offended by redneck humor you may want to avoid this post, because I will admit there are definitely slight traces of that here :)
So anyway, soda (or pop) is some what of a delicacy around here, but when you are a caffeine addict, well caffeine in some form is necessity so we turn to good old fashioned iced tea (which might I add is a delicacy for us Okies anyhow) well tonight as I was making this lovely caffeine filled redneck delicacy, something horrible happened, as I poured the hot tea into the tea pitcher I heard this awful cracking sound (you know that cracking sound that says, something is not right) so of course I had to pick the pitcher up and immediately the horror was obvious
This is never a good thing, when you are seriously craving caffeine and the only other pitcher in the house is full of sugar filled (yet caffeine lacking) kool-aid. Of course there was a smidge of milk left but guess what... Milk is caffeine free!! so my solution was this
Yes, my solution was to force that smidge of milk down the tiniest spawns throat and then use the discarded milk jug (after cleaning it of course) as our brand spanking new Redneck Kool-aid pitcher. Hey, momma needed caffeine so I improvised!!
Of course I had to add a title to the jug, because it wasn't obvious enough by the pink liquid that it wasn't milk, and since a title was needed, and since I used my redneck creativity to improvise this solution to my emergent problem... Well, I thought that "Redneck kool-aid pitcher" was absolutely fitting, and perfect in just about every way : )
Well this wordless Wednesday post turned out to be a lot less wordless than anticipated, so I suppose I really should just wish you a Happy Hump day, shut the heck up
Thank you, I had to get creative quick caffeine withdraw is no joke lol
ReplyDeleteMe and wordless do not go together, I have always been more than a bit of a blabber mouth.
ReplyDeleteAnd you are right, necessity is the mother of invention and for me, caffeine is necessity lol
That's awesome! My husband made lemonade in an old jug too. He wasn't as clever though, he just left it with the old fruit punch label on! :)
ReplyDeleteI probably wouldn't have added the crazy label, but I needed to find some humor in my day
ReplyDeleteLove the "Redneck Koolaid Pitcher" label!! My husband uses the old jugs all the time which confuses me since we have at least four pitchers for that purpose. I may have to take your labeling idea for that too. I might label his "Redneck Tupperware" too (old chinese plastic takeout containers).
ReplyDeleteLol that's great, I love that "redneck Tupperware" I have some of that myself : )
Deletesmart! i have a diaper wipes container that i use to hold batteries for recycle! you know that hole where you pull out the wipes, that's where we also push batteries in...convenient ☺
ReplyDeletehuggies♥

That is a really great idea and I am all for turning "trash" into something useful

ReplyDeleteI love the label! Just in case some color-blind person thought the container was still holding milk! :) Quick thinking, woman! And I here you on the Wordless Wed. thing. It would be impossible for me to keep my big mouth shut. No way a picture is worth a thousand words. I have to explain something!
ReplyDeleteI talk way too much for anything wordless, I am with you there is no way a picture is worth a thousand words.... I have to talk lol
DeleteLMAO @ redneck kool aid pitcher! HAHHAHAAAA! I love that! Also I adore your new blog layout! :D
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, I wasn't sure if I liked the new layout, because I am always so critical of things I make but it's growing on me : )
Deletehahahahaha that is hilarious!!!!
